The purpose of the Ouachita County Fair is to promote agriculture in our county. The fair is an excellent opportunity for all people of our county to meet each other in friendly competition. There is no better way of developing these resources than through a well-organized and managed fair.
The fairboard is a worthwhile organization for which we solicit cooperation of the businessmen, farmers and others in the various communities of the county. The Ouachita County Fair and Livestock Association exists for the purpose of instructing and educating the residents of Ouachita County in the areas of creative arts and agriculture by conducting, but not limited to, public fairs and exhibits. This accomplishment cannot be made without the involvement of volunteers and the dedication of the fairboard, whose mission is to influence the youth and the community with life skills by exhibiting and enjoying a county fair.
The fairboard works year-round to plan, build and maintain the County Fair. The success of the fair is a direct result of many hours of hard work and planning by a small group of dedicated people who volunteer their time and efforts. The quality of the exhibits is truly a showcase of efforts and talents of so many people. We extend an invitation to you. Come out and support the county fair by exhibiting or just by your attendance.
